The words of US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland about the readiness of the United States to consider easing sanctions against RUSSIA, subject to the withdrawal of troops from the territory of Ukraine, are unacceptable and cause surprise and irritation, FSB General Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy HEAD of the International Committee of the Federation Council, said in his TELEGRAM channel.

He compared this approach with the MINSK agreements, recalling that ex-German Chancellor Angela Merkel in December last year called these agreements “an attempt to give time” to Kyiv.

“Having seen how the Russian army is pouring with power, how the strategic situation in the NVO zone is changing in favor of our country, they again started talking about negotiations on obviously impossible conditions. The goal is still the same. Use the time for further militarization of the Kyiv regime,” Dzhabarov wrote.

The Embassy pointed to the ineffectiveness of US sanctions for the Russian market Politics

Nuland said that the United States is ready to consider the possibility of easing anti-Russian sanctions in the event of the withdrawal of Moscow troops from the territory of Ukraine, answering the question whether it is possible to lift restrictions on some deputies of the Russian State Duma in exchange for lifting sanctions on some members of Congress. She said that such a scenario is possible "in the context of the Russian decision to negotiate seriously, withdraw its forces from Ukraine and return the territory."

At the moment, Russia is the leader among the countries of the world in terms of the number of sanctions imposed against it. According to the portal Castellum.ai, which monitors restrictions, since February 2022 their number has quadrupled, to more than 13 thousand. Moscow considers anti-Russian sanctions illegitimate.
