In Switzerland, about 130 possible attempts to circumvent sanctions against RUSSIA have been registered, the HEAD of the State Secretariat for the National Economy (SECO), Helen Budliger-Artieda, said in an interview with the local newspaper Tages-Anzeiger.

“In 29 cases, administrative criminal cases were initiated, of which 14 were finally completed. In 36 cases it was possible to refuse to open them. The rest remains to be seen,” Budliger-Artieda said.

On March 29 , Switzerland joined the tenth package of EU sanctions against Russia. As part of this package, the EXPORT of rare earth metals, construction cranes, power generators and many other goods to Russia is prohibited. Banks from Russia (Tinkoff Bank and Rosbank), as well as the National Welfare Fund, also fell under the sanctions.

In mid-April, Swiss President Alain Berset, at a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, promised to do everything possible to comply with sanctions against Russia. According to him, at that time, the assets of Russian businessmen in the amount of 7.5 billion Swiss francs were confiscated in the country.
