The plans of the European Union for the 11th package of sanctions against RUSSIA are absurd, stupid and insane, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova .

“Absurdity, stupidity, madness. No matter how much they try to fulfill all this, to come up with it, it will not change anything for us. We have adapted to the new reality,” she said. The representative of the Foreign Ministry noted that the Russian economy was able to survive, despite the sanctions .

Zakharova added that “Russia will prepare a verified response to the next EU sanctions measures.”

On May 22, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna reported that a new package of sanctions could be agreed by the end of June, when the EU summit would take place . “We expect to finalize it as soon as possible,” she said.

The HEAD of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the 11th package of EU sanctions against Russia will include 90 companies around the world, including eight operating in CHINA, which, according to Brussels, violate restrictive measures and supply Moscow with sanctioned goods.

After the start of the military operation in Ukraine , the EU introduced ten packages of sanctions against Russia, the last one was approved at the end of February.
