The question of the location of the former HEAD of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, belongs to the internal affairs of the republic, said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov. This was reported by the correspondent of RBC.

Peskov was asked if Russian President Vladimir Putin is worried about Nazarbayev's whereabouts.

“Everything you are talking about now refers to the internal affairs of the sovereign state of Kazakhstan,” the spokesman replied.

Asked if Putin had contacts with Nazarbayev during the protests in Kazakhstan, Peskov replied that the Russian president is in touch with the current president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“Putin was in constant contact with President Tokayev, who took full responsibility,” Peskov said. He added that he had no information whether contacts between the Russian president and Nazarbayev were planned.
