The lifting of sanctions against RUSSIA will be possible after Moscow fulfills a number of conditions, the key ones being a ceasefire and the withdrawal of troops from the territory of Ukraine, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said in an interview with The Telegraph.
“These sanctions should be lifted only on the condition of a complete ceasefire and withdrawal of troops, as well as commitments that there will be no more aggression,” said the head of the British Foreign Office (quoted by REUTERS).
Truss added that a special “negotiation department” had been set up in the Foreign Ministry to facilitate peace talks between Moscow and Kyiv. “Sanctions are a hard lever,” Truss said.

In total, London imposed sanctions on Russian banks, whose total assets amount to 500 billion pounds, Truss indicated, and the total wealth of the “oligarchs” and their families on the British sanctions list exceeds 150 billion pounds.
