Superyacht Amadea docked at the port of Lautoka on April 13 after 18 days of sailing from the Mexican port. As reported by FBC, the ship entered the exclusive economic zone of Fiji without a permit and was detained upon arrival at the port. The crew was left on board until the investigation was completed.
According to the German shipbuilder Lürssen, Amadea was built in 2017 at a shipyard in Hamburg. In mid-March, after the start of events in Ukraine, the United States included the senator in the list of persons whose sanctions control will be carried out as a priority. In addition, at the same time, Kerimov fell under EU sanctions , which provide for the freezing of assets and a ban on entry.
