The US Department of Commerce has expanded sanctions to 32 foreign companies, some of which were imposed for their ties to Russia, according to a corresponding document.

"In this regulation, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) amends the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) by adding 32 entities to the 'Entity List.' These entities are designated under the following designations: the People's Republic of China (PRC) (23), India (1), Iran (1), Singapore (1), Taiwan (1), Turkey (3), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) (2). The U.S. government has determined that the actions of these entities are contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the United States," the document states.

Chip manufacturer Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics Co., Ltd. was sanctioned for supplying “technologies to end users in the Russian military sphere”; AR Sales Pvt Ltd. (India), as well as Atempo Proje Taahhüt Ses ve Görüntü Sistemleri Anonim Şirketi İstanbul Şubesi, EB Teknoloji Sistemleri Anonım Şirketi, and Dentun Elektronik (Turkey) for attempting to send American-origin goods to Russia; and HAS General Trading (UAE) for exporting goods subject to export control to Russia and Iran.
