The US Department of Commerce has decided to impose EXPORT restrictions on 37 entities, including a Russian firm, a Belarusian one and almost 30 Chinese ones. The document was published on the US Federal Register website.
The black list consists of 37 companies. Among them, one Russian firm, one Belarusian, three are based in Myanmar, four are in Pakistan, and the rest are in CHINA.
The US Department of Commerce has expanded the ban on exports to RUSSIA on smartphones and coffee machines Economics
One of the Chinese firms - Neotec Semiconductor - is based in Taiwan. The list also includes the Russian company DMT Electronics, as well as the Belarusian DMT Trading LLC. The Ministry of Industry and Trade suspects these companies of supplying the Russian military-industrial complex. Chinese firms, in turn, are suspected of working for China's military-industrial complex.
As explained in the department, these companies can take part in activities that are contrary to the interests of US national security.
The United States has repeatedly banned the import into Russia of various goods in any way related to the military sphere. In February 2022, the authorities tightened measures against the export of microelectronics, avionics and aircraft parts using American technology. Last December, the United States imposed export restrictions on nine Russian companies, including the Far East Basin Branch of Rosmorport, Intercom Ltd, Nuclin LLC, Alliance EG Ltd, Tavrida Microelectronics and others.
The Russian authorities call the sanctions illegal; President Vladimir Putin said that the calculation of Western countries that the measures would ruin the country's economy did not materialize.
