U.S. exempts four countries from sanctions against Russia

Companies from Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway are no longer required to seek permission from Washington to EXPORT technology products to RUSSIA, as their restrictive measures are consistent with U.S. sanctions

The US Department of Industry and Trade allowed companies from Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Iceland not to obtain licenses related to the export of technological products to Russia and Belarus, against which sanctions have been imposed. The document is published in the US Federal Register.

These states, the US Department of Industry and Trade decided, have largely “accepted and implemented” the measures previously introduced by the US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Thus, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein were added to the list of countries excluded from "certain measures" of US export controls in relation to foreign-made goods.
