US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan warned Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili that the republic should not help RUSSIA evade sanctions. This is stated in the message of the White House.

The parties discussed "the need to ensure that Russia continues to fully feel the economic consequences of sanctions, EXPORT restrictions and other economic restrictions" imposed by the United States and more than 30 other countries in response to the start of military operations in Ukraine.

“Sullivan emphasized the need for Georgia not to become a platform for evading [sanctions],” the White House said in a statement.

US President Joe Biden and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in a joint statement assured that they would continue to make efforts to prevent circumvention of anti-Russian sanctions. “We are deepening our joint work to aggressively enforce our sanctions and export controls, and to stop and prevent [their] circumvention,” the document says. In particular, the US and the EU will influence third countries not to help Russia in this.

The Russian authorities call the Western sanctions "crazy and thoughtless", and also causing more harm to the initiators of such measures. According to the Kremlin, no country in the world has changed its policy because of the sanctions.
