Switzerland has joined the 11th package of EU sanctions against RUSSIA, follows from a statement released by the country's government.

“The Federal Council has decided to impose additional sanctions against Russia. This links Switzerland with the EU , which has taken these latest measures as part of its 11th sanctions package,” the government said in a press release.

On June 23, the European Union adopted the 11th package of restrictions against Russia. it included the possibility of expanding the ban on the EXPORT of goods to third countries through which sanctioned goods enter Russia, and also added a ban on the transport of goods to the EU by trailers registered in Russia.

The 87 organizations referred to in the statement of the Swiss Federal Council, according to the European Union, support the Russian military-industrial complex - these are companies from CHINA , Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, Syria and Armenia.

Last time, Switzerland also joined the previous, tenth package of restrictions against Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry accused the European Union of economic blockade after the adoption of the 11th package. “With the adoption of the 11th sanctions package, the economic war unleashed by the European Union and its member countries against Russia has reached a qualitatively new level,” said Kirill Logvinov, Acting Permanent Representative of Russia to the European Union.

Moscow considers all European sanctions imposed against Russia illegal.
