The Serbian government is ready to cancel customs duties on oil from third countries if the European Union bans the import of oil and gas from RUSSIA, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on the B92 TV channel.

He noted that the share of Russian gas supplies to the EU is 40%, and oil - about 30%. In the event of a ban, it is clear that "it will not be possible to compensate for this, it is unrealistic," the president said. According to him, Serbia is waiting for the decision of the European Union.

“We are already looking for where we could buy oil and gas from, we have already discussed this with the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS, a joint asset of Gazprom Neft and the Serbian government. -), which asks [to allow] imports from third countries, and we made a decision today: <...> if there is a need for oil from third countries, we <...> will waive customs duties, ”said Vucic (quoted by Nedeljnik).
