The construction workers of the airport in Kamchatka, who had previously been poisoned in the canteen on the construction site, ate dishes with MEAT of unknown origin, reported the press service of the Primorsky Department ofROSSELKHOZNADZOR based on the results of the investigation.

According to the department, the organization of meals for construction workers was carried out by the Sangin company from the Kamchatka Territory, which did not have registration in the FSIS VetIS Cerberus (federal state information system in the field of veterinary medicine). The company registered only after the workers were poisoned. “Accordingly, the enterprise usedmeatof unknown origin for preparing dishes,” said the Rosselkhoznadzor department.

During the investigation, it turned out that the boneless cut “marbled beef shank” was used to prepare the lagman that was fed to the workers. “No veterinary accompanying documents for this meat were issued to Sangin LLC; accordingly, it is impossible to establish whether this marbled beefwas used to prepare lagman or whether the dish was made from other meats. <...> It is impossible to confirm its traceability, and therefore quality and safety,” the department concluded.

On December 5, workers from the construction of a new airport terminal in the city of Elizovo in Kamchatka were hospitalized with signs of food poisoning. 41 people were injured. Before this, they all had dinner in the canteen of the hostel, located on the territory of the facility under construction. The Ministry of HEALTH of the Kamchatka Territory reported that the victims were diagnosed with gastroenteritis. The HEAD of the department, Oleg Melnikov, clarified that there is no threat to the lives of workers. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements).
