In 2018, about 400 tons of low-quality MEAT and meat products were withdrawn from circulation, Rospotrebnadzor reports. In 2017, this figure was about 300 tons. According to the agency, about 90% of the rejected products annually are food raw materials.
Last year, the department's specialists examined about 150 thousand samples of meat and products of its processing for compliance with the established requirements. According to Rospotrebnadzor, the study showed that the proportion of samples that do not meet the requirements for sanitary and chemical indicators “did not exceed 1.0% over the past years.” According to microbiological indicators, about 4% of the samples do not correspond.

A study by Rospotrebnadzor revealed that in 2018, every third inspected facility sold products without documents confirming their origin, quality and safety (in 2017, every fifth).
The agency stressed that it had taken action on all the facts of detected violations, including imposing fines in the amount of more than 146 million rubles.
