“You and I are well aware that many countries have already adapted to living with their backs bent and making all the decisions of their sovereign 20 times over. Russia in such a state - a miserable state, a humiliated state - cannot exist. Sooner or later, all this should have happened - it happened now, ”Putin said.

Earlier, BLOOMBERG said that Russia has become the country - the leader in the number of sanctions imposed against it, overtaking Iran, Syria and North Korea. According to the agency, the number of Russian sanctioned objects exceeds 5530, and more than half of them have come under restrictions since February 22 - 2778 (among them individuals - 2427, legal - 343).

Switzerland has imposed the most sanctions against Russia, bypassing the European Union, CANADA, Australia and the United States .
