Andrzej Duda called for serious political and economic sanctions against RUSSIA after the recognition of the DNR and LNR

Polish President Andrzej Duda did not rule out restricting travel opportunities for Russian citizens. He stated this at a press conference after talks with the leaders of Ukraine and Lithuania, Volodymyr Zelensky and Gitanas Nauseda.

“I, as a neighbor of Russia, because Poland borders on the Kaliningrad region, will do it with regret, speaking in favor of sanctions , which, for example, will block travel opportunities for Russian citizens,” said Duda (quoted by RIA Novosti). At the same time, it is not specified whether we are talking about a ban on entry to all Russian citizens or only to those who are under sanctions.

The HEAD of state also called for serious political and economic sanctions against Russia.

Zelensky demanded clear security guarantees from the West and Russia Politics

In a joint statement, the presidents condemned Russia's decision to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, accusing Moscow of "another gross violation of the fundamental norms and principles of international law" and a deliberate and unilateral withdrawal from the MINSK agreements. The heads of state called on the international community to respond to "another act of aggression" with the rapid imposition of a powerful package of sanctions against Russia, including restrictions on Nord Stream 2. From the Russian leadership, the leaders demanded to withdraw troops from the border with Ukraine and refrain from any military action. The countries expressed the hope that "war would not break out."
