To ease European sanctions against Russia, the peace agreement between Moscow and Kiev must include respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, said Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, reports REUTERS.
“A peace agreement at gunpoint with the loss of Ukrainian territory and sovereignty is not a way to return to normal life. And this will not automatically lead to a relaxation of our sanctions,” the politician said.

Since the beginning of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, Western countries have imposed several packages of sanctions against Russia, and the Russian and Ukrainian delegations continued peace talks. On March 29, Moscow and Kyiv held talks in Istanbul. As a result , Russia received from Ukraine written proposals for a political settlement.
According to the HEAD of the Ukrainian delegation, David Arakhamia, Ukraine proposed a system of security guarantees, including the neutral status of the state. Permanent members of the UN Security Council, as well as Turkey, Germany, Italy, Israel, Poland and CANADA can become guarantors of this system. These security guarantees will not apply to Crimea and part of the Donbass, Arakhamia pointed out.
