RUSSIA has emerged from the crisis, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said at the Territory of Meanings forum. His words are quoted by the TELEGRAM channel “New Media Workshop”.
“We have come out of the crisis, and we have prospects for a fairly rapid development by today's standards. it's unique. This is yet to be studied by you, how it happened and where such forces came from in our country, our people,” he told the forum participants.
After the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine , Western countries increased sanctions against Russia, which affected the banking sector, public debt, energy and other industries.
Moscow has repeatedly called the sanctions illegal.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the economy is showing growth, but the positive dynamics is not a reason to "relax", since anti-Russian sanctions could have a negative impact in the medium term.
In March, the HEAD of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, said that "the acute phase of the crisis has passed." According to her, sanctions against Russian banks and the financial system are no longer perceived as a shock. In April, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov also argued that Western countries, in particular the European Union, had exhausted their options for sanctions that could hurt Russia .
