Russia will respond to the decision of the Polish prosecutor's office to withdraw money from the accounts of the embassy and the Russian trade mission. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov , RIA Novosti reports.

“Definitely worth it,” he said, answering the question whether Poland needs to wait for retaliatory measures from the Russian side.

Earlier, Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev said that the Polish prosecutor's office withdrew money from the account of the Russian diplomatic mission in Santander Bank. The bank itself notified the embassy of the termination of cooperation.

At the same time, the accounts of the Russian embassy were blocked back in March last year. Polish authorities suspect them of money laundering and terrorist financing.
