The United States and its G7 partners (CANADA, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Great Britain) will present a “new large package of sanctions” on the anniversary of the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, the restrictions will affect the supply of technology and high-tech equipment. This was stated by US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland during a telephone briefing, RBC correspondent reports.

“About February 24, you will see a new large package of sanctions from the US and all partners in the G7. These sanctions <...> will limit the supply of technologies to the Russian defense industry, high-tech equipment, and so on,” she said.

Restrictions are planned to be imposed against individuals who are "directly involved" in the special operation "and support it," Nuland explained. “We will also target a number of sanctions violations, as we see that the Russians have become quite smart,” she said, referring to “importing computers and refrigerators from third countries.”

Nuland confirmed that sanctions on Russian banks and EXPORT controls would be expanded. “We have publicly expressed our concerns about Iran, North Korea and CHINA, but there are other countries that knowingly or unknowingly help to circumvent sanctions. The next package of sanctions from both us and our G7 partners will focus on this,” she explained.
