Real disposable money incomes of Belarusians are still declining. In January-August, this indicator decreased by 0.1% compared to the same period last year, Belstat reports.


Reference:  The real disposable money income of the population is one of the main economic indicators by which the well-being of citizens is determined. it is calculated by dividing the nominal growth rate of disposable money income by the consumer price index for the relevant time period.

In the total monetary income of Belarusians, wages account for 62.4%, income from entrepreneurial and other income-generating activities - 8.2%, transfers to the population (pensions, allowances, scholarships and other transfers to the population) - 24%, income from property and other income - 5.4%.

Recall that the real incomes of Belarusians have been falling throughout this year. In January, this indicator decreased by 4.5% compared to the same period last year, in January-February - by 3.2%, in January-March - by 2.2%, in January-April - by 1.5%, in January-May - by 1.2%, in January-June - by 0.8%, and in January-July - by 0.5%.

Last year, the real incomes of Belarusians showed the strongest drop in the last 10 years.

According to the Minister of Economy Uladzimir Zinouski , in autumn the real incomes of Belarusians should go up.

According to the government's plans, the real disposable income of the population in 2018 will grow by 3.2%.
