Russia's Human Rights Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova said the EU's decision to impose sanctions against her violates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and all other international human rights instruments.
“In fact, as a human rights ombudsman in the Russian Federation, I was denied the right to personally convey our human rights position to the European ombudsmen, to fight for the rights of compatriots,” Moskalkova told RIA Novosti.
According to the Ombudsman, by their actions, the European authorities "cross out both democratic dialogue and human rights diplomacy." Now, Moskalkova believes, "the humanitarian bridges built by the ombudsmen have been burned to please the political situation."

The EU has introduced another, tenth package of sanctions on the anniversary of the military operation in Ukraine. 87 individuals and 34 organizations fell under the restrictions. The inclusion of Moskalkova in the sanctions list was explained by the fact that she denies the “deportation” and “filtration” of Ukrainians and thereby contributes to undermining the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
Under the EXPORT sanctions of the European Union fell dual-use goods, electronics, specialized vehicles, spare parts for cars and jet engines, goods for the construction sector. In addition, imports of Russian bitumen and synthetic rubber to the EU countries are prohibited.
