Western officials should make it clear what steps they are going to take if RUSSIA attacks Ukraine. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba in an interview with the American newspaper Washington Post.

According to him, the lack of information about any details "from Washington, London and Brussels" could make Moscow question the seriousness of the West's intentions to respond to a potential Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister announced negotiations to disconnect Russia from SWIFT Politics

Earlier, Kuleba said on the CNBC television channel that Western states are developing new sanctions against Russia, which may come into force if it shows aggression towards Ukraine. In particular, he mentioned the possibility of limiting investments, trade and disconnecting from the international banking system for making SWIFT payments.

After that, the EU extended economic sanctions against Russia and called on it to fulfill its obligations under the MINSK agreements. In the words of the President of the European Council Charles Michel, Moscow faces "a harsh price" and "massive consequences" if it decides to invade Ukraine.
