Estonia, after the ban on performances in the country by the Russian group "Hands Up", turned into a repressive state that forgot about democracy. This was announced on Sputnik radio by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
According to her, the Estonian authorities forgot that they proclaimed democracy as their main idea, for the sake of which they once left the Soviet Union.
“And now they themselves have turned into a repressive state that prohibits, blackouts, blocks, doesn’t let them in, takes them away, and so on,” Zakharova said.
Estonia for five years banned the entry of the group "Hands up" Politics
On July 26, the Estonian Foreign Ministry announced a five-year ban on the Russian group Hands Up from entering the country. The HEAD of the diplomatic department, Urmas Reinsalu, recalled that the group members visited Crimea after its annexation to RUSSIA, so the decision of the authorities is correct.
“I regret that fans of the group “Hands Up” in Estonia will not be able to attend concerts. I am pleased to invite them to my concerts in Russia, ”the group leader Sergey Zhukov told RBC.

In April of this year, Estonia also banned artists Polina Gagarina and Philip Kirkorov from entering the country. Prior to this, the Tallinn authorities proposed to draw up a list of artists supporting Russian President Vladimir Putin, for whom a ban on entry into Estonia would be introduced.
The performances of the Hands Up group and Polina Gagarina were on the program of the rally in honor of the anniversary of the annexation of Crimea, which was held on March 18 at Luzhniki.
