History shows that the imposition of sanctions "adds fuel to the fire", they are counterproductive and only aggravate the situation, said Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Le Yucheng. He warned that such measures threaten the world with catastrophic consequences.
According to him, globalization in the modern world is used as a weapon, "even athletes, representatives of culture, art, and entertainment are not spared."
The Deputy Minister added that small countries should not be used “as puppets”. “Some large states do not want to be drawn into conflict and harm themselves, so they <...> use small countries to wage proxy war,” Le Yucheng said, calling such actions “highly immoral and irresponsible.”
