Russia needs foreign qualified specialists, and work should be done to attract them to the country under sanctions. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council (SB) Dmitry Medvedev, whose words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“This is now a real problem, because under the pressure of their states, under the yoke of sanctions, many such employees were forced to leave our country, although they have worked here for quite a long time and have connections and a quite successful business or a good place in Russian enterprises,” Medvedev said, speaking at meeting of the interdepartmental commission of the Security Council on improving the state migration policy.

“It is important to continue working to attract highly qualified specialists from abroad to Russia,” he added, saying that “foreign workers are leaving the country.”

Medvedev called for a review of Russian regulations governing the maximum number of foreign workers in key areas in order to compensate for "pressure on the labor market."
