London threatened Moscow with sanctions without invading Ukraine

Earlier, the British Foreign Office announced Moscow's intentions to bring a leader loyal to it to power in Ukraine. Deputy Prime Minister of the country said,

There will be "very serious consequences" for RUSSIA if it attempts to install a "puppet regime" in Ukraine, British Deputy Prime Minister, Attorney General and Lord Chancellor Dominic Raab told Sky News.

“We will support them [Ukraine] in protecting themselves, as well as the international community, NATO allies in the West. We stand shoulder to shoulder and declare that Russia will face very serious consequences if it tries to invade and also establish a puppet regime,” he said.

At the same time, Raab noted that sending the British military is "highly unlikely" in the event of a Russian "invasion". The Deputy Prime Minister, however, recalled that Britain is participating in training programs for Ukrainian military personnel.

Earlier, the British Foreign Office said that, according to its information, the Russian government is looking for an opportunity to bring a leader loyal to Moscow to power in Ukraine. At the same time, the Kremlin is considering the possibility of "invading Ukraine and occupying it," the ministry added.
