Nevertheless, the country continued to buy Russian-made gas, but not directly from Gazprom, but through an intermediary, explained the HEAD of the Latvian gas company Latvijas Gaze, Aigars Kalvitis.

Earlier, the gas company Latvijas Gaze warned that gas prices for the population from July 1 will increase in the range from 65.6 to 89.9%, depending on the volume of consumption.

On July 30, Gazprom stopped gas supplies to Latvia as part of the July bid due to violation of gas withdrawal conditions, the company's press service reported. "Gazprom" did not specify what kind of violations in question.
