The Russian currency remains volatile amid the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine. On the evening of February 20, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken warned that the United States would respond to Russia's actions not only in the event of a full-scale "invasion" of Ukraine, but even if the situation in the Donbass was at a "low or medium boiling point."

After that, the US Embassy warned the Americans about the threat of attacks on public places in RUSSIA and near the border with Ukraine. The diplomatic mission clarified that there are threats of attacks in shopping centers, railway stations, subways and other crowded places in large cities, including Moscow and St. Petersburg.
