Russian DIRECTOR Andrei Konchalovsky commented on the sanctions imposed against him by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and noted that he looks with compassion at what is happening in the country. He said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“I have not formed any opinion about this [sanctions], except for what I have already said - I am watching with compassion the tragic events in my beloved Ukraine,” Konchalovsky said.

The director emphasized that history knows cases of blinding the masses of people who later have to pay dearly for this, but "epiphany is inevitable." He also added that RUSSIA and Ukraine "are destined to be together."
