Poultry meat exports increased 2.5 times, to $193 million, pork - 4 times, to $85 million, and beef — 3 times, up to $16 million.

Half of the meat supplied by Russia abroad was brought by China. The share of mainland China in the first half of the year accounted for 45% of deliveries in physical terms, and taking into account Hong Kong - 54%. Ukraine became the largest buyer of Russian meat after the start of the military conflict in the Donbass: until 2014, it practically did not buy meat and offal from Russia, and in 2016, according to the Federal Customs Service, more than 47 thousand tons of meat were shipped to Ukraine.
