MEAT, poultry, MILK and dairy products in 2020 may increase in price by 10-12%. This was reported in the Analytical Center under the government, Izvestia writes.
According to the calculations of Viktoria Pavlyushina, deputy HEAD of the macroeconomic research department, the cost of these products may increase due to the growth of producers' costs - increased prices for raw materials, gas and electricity tariffs.
In addition, milk from November 1, 2019 must be certified in the Mercury electronic system, and from June 1, 2020, mandatory digital labeling of products will come into force. This can also affect the price change.
At the same time, the head of the executive committee of the National Meat Association, Sergei Yushin, believes that pork will fall in price by 5-7% this year, and poultry meat - even more. According to his forecasts, only the cost of beef will increase - by 5% - due to a decrease in the number of livestock.
The Analytical Center under the Government is confident that due to a serious increase in palm oil prices, sweets, ice cream, cookies, and chips will rise in price by 5-7%. In the same range, the cost of buckwheat will also increase due to the reduction in crops.
