The heads of the EU countries instructed the European Commission to study the effectiveness of the sanctions already adopted against RUSSIA. This was stated by the Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo, reports REUTERS.
“Now the priority is to close the weak points, as well as to prevent a possible circumvention of sanctions. The European Commission was instructed to work out this issue in detail,” he said.

The Prime Minister noted that the European Commission will also consider possible additional sanctions. “At the same time, the basic principle remains that the impact of these sanctions should be much greater on the Russian side, and not on the European side,” Kroo added.
The European Union has introduced four packages of sanctions against Russia since the end of February, the measures have already affected the assets and reserves of the Russian Central Bank, a number of banks, the EXPORT of technological products, the supply of aircraft and aircraft parts, as well as access to European financial markets.
