As Maria Butina told RBC, her Google account was blocked on May 6. “Absolutely everything got blocked, YouTube-[channel] too. All my data has been deleted, I do not have access to my account. Neither enter nor exit. Google writes that this is all because of the sanctions,” she explained.
According to the deputy, she did not receive notification of blocking.
According to Nina Ostanina, she cannot log into her Google account, and the information on the YouTube channel linked to it is not available. “I received a message [notification] from Google that the account was blocked because it does not comply with Google’s policy,” she said in a conversation with RBC.
Mikhail Matveev, who fell under the blocking, posted a message about this on VKontakte. He attached a screenshot of the block notification. "Your account has been permanently suspended in accordance with our EXPORT Restriction and Sanctions Policy," the notice reads.
