The UK expanded the sanctions list by adding 206 more Russian individuals and organizations to it. The document was published on the website of the British government.
The sanctions list on April 13, in particular, included:
the largest co-owner of AFK Sistema Vladimir Yevtushenkov; LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov; CEO of Surgutneftegaz Vladimir Bogdanov; ex-head of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin; Presidential Assistant for Science and Education Policy Andrey Fursenko; vice-president of Gazprombank and ex-head of the RFU Sergey Fursenko; businessman Grigory Berezkin (ESN group); investor and entrepreneur, HEAD of the board of directors and shareholder of Aznar CJSC Farkhad Akhmedov; the owner and head of the Mercury group of companies, which, in particular, includes the Dixy retail chain, Igor Kesaev; ex-head of Ozon Alexander Shulgin; Evgeny Zubitsky, head of the Industrial and Metallurgical Holding; President of Alliance Group Musa Bazhaev; shareholder of the Polyus gold mining company Said Kerimov; Andrey Bokarev, co-owner and chairman of the board of directors of Transmashholding and Management Company Kuzbassrazrezugol; business partner of businessman Oleg Deripaska and his cousin Pavel Ezubov; wife of Gennady Timchenko Elena; ex-wife of businessman Mikhail Fridman Olga Aiziman; sister of businessman Alisher Usmanov Gulbahor Ismailova; the wife of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Lavrova; Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the opposition party "Opposition Platform - For Life" Viktor Medvedchuk.Military operation in Ukraine. Among the defendants in the updated list are also Minister of State Security Vladimir Pavlenko, former Prime Minister of the DPR Alexander Ananchenko, Interior Minister of the DPR Alexei Dikiy, Minister of Information of the DPR Igor Antipov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Lugansk People's Republic Yuri Pronko, Minister of Economic Development of the LPR Svetlana Podlipaeva and other representatives republican leadership.
The sanctions include a ban on entry into the UK and a freeze on all assets in the United Kingdom.
The press service of Surgutneftegaz told RBC that the company is operating as usual. Surgutneftegaz continues to work stably and efficiently,” the company noted. A spokesman for Berezkin declined to comment.

At the same time, several organizations fell under sanctions, including Alfa-Bank, Gazprombank, Rosselkhozbank, ALROSA, Sovcomflot, RusHydro, Russian Railways, Defense Initiatives, SMP Bank, and Wagner PMC. In total, on March 26, 59 individuals and companies were added to the list.

The last time Britain updated the sanctions list on March 31, then it was replenished with representatives of the Russian media. The list includes Sergey Brilev, journalist and author of the Vesti on Saturday program on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, Alexei Nikolov, CEO of the RT (formerly Russia Today) TV channel, Anton Anisimov, editor-in-chief of the Sputnik agency, and Alexander Zharov, CEO of Gazprom-Media.
The media group Rossiya Segodnya, as well as TV-Novosti, the company that controls the RT channel, fell under the sanctions.
Britain began to tighten sanctions against Russia in late February. Then restrictions were introduced, in particular, against VTB, Aeroflot, the United Aircraft Corporation, Rostec, the United Shipbuilding Corporation, Uralvagonzavod and the Tactical Missiles Corporation. In total, 100 individuals and companies fell under the sanctions then, among their defendants are businessman Kirill Shamalov, one of the top managers of VTB Denis Bortnikov, the general DIRECTOR of the United Aircraft Corporation Yuri Slyusar and the chairman of Promsvyazbank, which is under sanctions, Petr Fradkov.
In March, London continued to include Russian entrepreneurs, officials, politicians and companies in the sanctions lists. Among others, Roman Abramovich, the owner of the Millhouse investment company, Andrey Kostin, the president and chairman of the board of VTB, the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, the head of Rusal, Oleg Deripaska, the head of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, the president of Transneft, Nikolai Tokarev, and the chairman Board of Directors of Rossiya Bank Dmitry Lebedev. The sanctions also affected parliamentarians.
