The British authorities imposed sanctions against five journalists from the Belarusian state media and Belaruskali. This is stated in a statement on the website of the government of the country.

“The asset freeze of Belaruskali, one of the world’s largest potash producers, will affect a major source of income and foreign exchange for [Belarusian President Alexander] Lukashenko’s regime,” the report said.

In addition to Belaruskali, the following were subject to restrictions:
