The UK has imposed sanctions against the Russian Direct Investment Fund and its HEAD Kirill Dmitriev, follows from the sanctions list published on the government website.
Sanctions against Dmitriev include an asset freeze and a ban on entry into the UK, while those against RDIF include an asset freeze.
According to the British authorities, RDIF “is engaged in activities that are of economic importance to the Russian government”, and Dmitriev “is engaged in activities of economic importance to the Russian government, and as a result, benefits from or supports the Russian government.”
RDIF declined to comment.
