Great Britain would introduce sanctions against companies from the European Union if they continued to EXPORT goods to RUSSIA in violation of restrictions, Foreign Minister David Cameron said in a speech before a parliamentary committee. The broadcast was hosted by The Guardian.

“If we thought that companies from EU countries were selling goods to Russia, then we would have imposed sanctions against them,” said Cameron (translation byTASS).

According to him, “it was a shame” to impose sanctions against companies from Turkey, but it was necessary to “do everything possible to stop the Russian war machine.”

In AugustLondon introduced restrictions against two Turkish companies - Azu International LTD STI and Turkik Union Dijital Teknoloji Donusum Ofisi. They supply computer components and technology. According to British authorities, these companies “supplied products to enterprises involved in the Russian defense sector.”

Last week, on December 6, Cameron announced plans to impose sanctions against foreign companies exporting equipment and components to Russia.

Authorities in Russia consider Western sanctions illegal and ineffective; President Vladimir Putin believes that the country's economy has recovered from restrictions. According to him,Moscow was able to replace part of Western products with analogues of its own production or goods from friendly countries.
