The G7 countries (usa, CANADA, UK, France, Germany, Italy and Japan) intend to announce the maximum price level for Russian oil next week, Bloomberg writes citing sources.
The level of the price ceiling will be privately announced by the US administration to the countries of the European Union on the eve of the meeting of EU ambassadors, which is scheduled for November 23. If they approve it, the official announcement will follow later that evening, the agency's sources say, noting that the timeline remains fluid.

In addition, an unnamed government official familiar with the talks told the news agency that it was not certain when the EU would be able to finalize any level of oil price caps.
Western countries have previously discussed setting a price ceiling between $40 and $60 per barrel, but two agency interlocutors say the ceiling could be higher.
The US Treasury declined to comment, the EU authorities did not provide a prompt response to the agency's request.
The G7 countries agreed to impose a ceiling on prices for oil and oil products from RUSSIA in September, explaining this as a desire to reduce Moscow's revenues and mitigate the impact of military operations in Ukraine on world energy prices. In early November, Reuters wrote that the G7 countries and Australia had agreed that the price would be fixed and would be revised "as needed".
