The Tver COURT arrested Deputy Minister of HEALTH of the Moscow Region Alexander Zakharov , the press service of the Moscow courts reports. He was charged with committing a crime under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receipt of a bribe on an especially large scale), this article is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

He was sentenced to arrest for two months, until March 17. No other details were given in court.

Alexander Zakharov was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Health of the region in September 2021. He was involved, among other things, in the overhaul of clinics and other institutions.
