Earlier, the Karelian Ministry of HEALTH linked the increase in the number of cases with a low level of herd immunity. Today, in the region, it is estimated at 7%, taking into account those who have been ill, which is insufficient for the formation of a stable immune layer. In turn, the Minister of Health of the Republic, Mikhail Okhlopkov, urged the population to be vaccinated and revaccinated without waiting for the autumn surge in the incidence.
