Avito Rabota and the fintech company Dengi Vperyod conducted a study of the career plans of Russians and changes at their current place of work in February-March 2022. The online survey was conducted in March 2022.

According to the study, 22% of the surveyed residents of Perm decided to change jobs, while 66% of them did not change their career plans.

“The sphere of work is sensitive to changes: everything literally freezes. Crisis time is always difficult, but it can be treated differently. The survey showed that almost every fifth respondent had a salary increase, which means that you can always find an opportunity to improve your financial condition. The market has recovered from the first shock and is restoring activity,” emphasizes Artyom Kumpel, Managing DIRECTOR of Avito Rabota.

37% of Perm residents who want to change jobs plan to do so in the next 1-2 months, another 14% of respondents set aside 3-4 months for the process of finding a new job, and 14% - six months. Another 20% are considering changing jobs during the year. Of those respondents who changed their minds about changing jobs in February-March 2022 (12% of respondents), 78% plan to stay at their current job for a year or more.

“The labor market, which has just recovered from the pandemic, is now experiencing turbulence again. In addition to the large percentage of line staff who have been forced to change jobs due to changing market conditions, middle and top professionals are also making career decisions this spring - some for economic, some for ethical reasons. The highest percentage of specialists planning to change jobs is among buzzers aged 18-24, and it is not surprising - this generation is the most flexible and understands its requirements for the employer and working conditions more clearly than others, ”says Pavel Guzhikov, founder and CEO of the fintech company Dengi Vperyod.
