The United States is exploring a deal under which Poland will send Soviet-made aircraft to Ukraine in exchange for American F-16 fighter jets. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources in the US administration.

As the publication clarifies, President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier appealed to Congress to supply jet fighters to Ukraine. More than 200 members of the House of Representatives and the Senate attended the teleconference with Zelensky, the Ukrainian leader himself spoke for more than 25 minutes, the newspaper's sources said.
