Citizens of Serbia over the age of 16 who are vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS by May 31 will receive financial assistance in the amount of 3,000 dinars (about €25 or $30). This was announced on the air of the Pink TV channel by the President of the country Aleksandar Vucic.
According to him, those who have been fully vaccinated and those who have received at least the first dose of the drug by this date will be able to count on the payment.
Vučić noted that the decision on additional assistance to the vaccinated was made after he discussed the issue with Prime Minister Ana Brnabic. “We thought about how to reward people who showed responsibility,” he said. The President stressed that it is impossible to take negative measures against those who will not be vaccinated.
The Serbian authorities expect that by the end of May, at least the first component of the vaccine will be introduced to 3 million people, and herd immunity will form in the country.
