Regional authorities will turn to the Ministry of Health to increase the supply of COVID vaccine

Novosibirsk authorities will appeal to the Ministry of HEALTH of the Russian Federation with a request to increase the supply of a vaccine against CORONAVIRUS. This was announced at the operational meeting in the government by the Minister of Health of the region Konstantin Khalzov. At the end of last week, a shortage of the first component of the vaccine was recorded in the region.

Andrey Travnikov, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, noted that at the current rate of vaccination, the received doses would be enough at best until the end of this week.

“Therefore, it is necessary to continue working with the federal center by all possible means - letters, telephone conversations to aggravate the issue at the federal headquarters. We need a vaccine, ”the press service of the regional government quoted Travnikov as saying.

Khalzov noted that the delivery of 55,000 doses of the vaccine to the Novosibirsk Region is now expected, which is enough for ten days.

On June 26, the region received 45,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine, Khalzov said. Earlier, 433,000 doses were delivered in the Novosibirsk Region, 410,000 patients were vaccinated with the first component, and 312,000 residents of the region were vaccinated twice. Vaccinations are given every day by 6.2 thousand people.

The HEAD of the regional department Alexander Shcherbatov drew attention to the increase in the incidence of coronavirus by 29% over the past week.

“We are going into the fifth week with an increase. What I want to note is that the growth rate has slowed down somewhat, this is evidence that we are actively working with the population and enterprises on preventive measures, ”TASS quotes Shcherbatov as saying.

Now 4.6 thousand beds have been deployed in the region. Medical facilities continue to be re-profiled for patients with coronavirus - in the near future they plan to open a cardiodispensary and a therapeutic branch of the 25th hospital.

According to the operational headquarters, on the morning of June 27, 46.3 thousand cases of coronavirus were registered in the region, including 3.1 thousand children. 41.3 thousand patients have fully recovered. During the day, 162 cases were detected in the Novosibirsk region.
