The visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Turkey is being prepared, a possible date will be announced in the coming days. This was stated in an interview with A haber TV channel by the official representative of the Turkish leader, Ibrahim Kalyn.

“The proposal of our president [Tayyip Erdogan] for a meeting between the presidents of RUSSIA and Ukraine is of critical importance. Ukraine looks at him positively, if Russia also gives a positive answer, then the meeting will take place. Mr. Putin will visit Turkey, the date will be known in the coming days,” he said.

According to Kalyn, Turkey is "the only country" that can meet the needs of both Ukraine and Russia in resolving the crisis that has arisen. He also noted that Putin and Erdogan have developed good and trusting relations over the past seven to eight years.

Earlier, on January 27, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Putin's visit to Turkey is possible after his visit to the opening ceremony of the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
