Since the beginning of 2021, 128 people have died in Switzerland after being vaccinated against the CORONAVIRUS. This is reported by the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products Swissmedic. At the same time, the regulator explained that they did not find evidence that vaccination was the cause of death.

From January 1 to July 21, the agency said there were 4,319 notifications of "supposedly unwanted effects" of vaccines, with 1,537 of those reports classified as serious.

“In 128 serious cases, we regret the death of the vaccinated, which occurred after a more or less long time [after vaccinations],” said Swissmedic.

The largest number of notifications of serious consequences (788) were for vaccinations with the US company Moderna, and 704 for vaccinations with the Comirnaty vaccine of the US company Pfizer and its partner BioNTech. In 45 cases, data on the vaccine were not available.

Earlier, Russian Minister of HEALTH Mikhail Murashko said that vaccination against coronavirus infection reliably protects against infection. The minister also clarified that after receiving the vaccine, no more than 2.5% of citizens fell ill, most of them during the period of immunity formation, which lasts two to three weeks after the second vaccination, depending on the vaccine, Murashko explained.
