During the day, queues lined up at Sheremetyevo Airport due to checking the presence of PCR tests for CORONAVIRUS among passengers. This was reported to RBC in the airport's public relations directorate.

“Temporary accumulations of passengers at the check-in counters were due to the increased load on the check-in counters due to the increased time for checking the required documents as part of the implementation of anti-epidemic requirements,” Sheremetyevo explained. The airport management clarified that in addition to the presence of the PCR test itself, its validity period and personal data of the passenger are checked. For this, additional check-in counters were allocated at the airport.

As Anna Zakharenkova, DIRECTOR of public relations at Sheremetyevo Airport, told RBC, at the moment the situation in the terminals has completely stabilized.

Aeroflot spokesman Mikhail Demin told RBC that the airline asks passengers flying abroad to arrive at Sheremetyevo in advance to check in for the flight, as service time at Terminal D has increased due to additional checks. “Verification of such documents is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the country of destination and is the responsibility of the airline,” he said.
