In St. Petersburg, the demand for vaccination against COVID-19 has fallen sharply

Experts attribute the decrease in the rate of vaccination against CORONAVIRUS infection to the May holidays. If on April 30, 5,516 people were vaccinated primarily in St. Petersburg, and 9,076 secondarily, then on May 2, only 956 people were vaccinated for the first time and 1,304 for the second. At the same time, the incidence is not reduced. Today, more than 80% of beds for patients with coronavirus infection are occupied in St. Petersburg, and doctors also note an increase in new cases of COVID-19 by 3.44%.

Authorities urge citizens to get vaccinated. In St. Petersburg, in addition to Gam-Covid-Vac, the EpiVacCorona vaccine is used. There are 114,000 drug kits in the city's medical institutions and another 76,000 are stored at the pharmaceutical base. Over the entire period of vaccination, 571,291 people were vaccinated, which is 10% of the population of the region.
