At the Nevinnomyssky Azot enterprise, which is part of the EuroChem mineral and chemical holding, the production of medical oxygen has increased.
On his Instagram page, the HEAD of Nevinnomyssk, Mikhail Minenkov, said that the company currently produces up to 8 tons of oxygen per day.
After production, medical oxygen is transported by special vehicles to the hospital, where it is shipped to a special storage facility and from there it is already delivered to patients.
As RBC Kavkaz reported, in July this year it became known that Nevinnomyssky Azot would produce medical oxygen. The company has received the necessary permits.
“The issue of the availability of medical oxygen in the country has become acute at the time of the spread of the CORONAVIRUS infection covid-19 — patients with pneumonia require an air mixture with a high oxygen content. In 2020, the Stavropol Ministry of Industry addressed the management of Nevinnomyssky Azot with a proposal to consider opportunities for the release of this gas, ”wrote the head of Nevinnomyssk, Mikhail Minenkov, on his Instagram page.
According to him, after that, an industrial regulation was developed and on the basis of the existing workshop for the production of air separation products, liquid carbon dioxide and ammonia dispensing, oxygen was obtained last fall that meets the necessary medical requirements.
“The capacity of the installation for the production of liquid medical oxygen at Nevinnomyssky Azot is 4 tons per day,” the head of the city said.
